I will be co-hosting (with John Hubers) an event, sponsored by Kairos West Michigan, focused on the documentary, From Ground Zero: Stories from Gaza. The film consists of twenty-two short films from Palestinian directors. It is excellent. We have selected eight films to show you on Thursday evening. John and I will facilitate discussion with the audience, and if we’re honest, probably give some commentary of our own.

I realize that we are all overwhelmed. But it’s important to be together. I am becoming more and more convinced of this, and I prefer to seclude when I’m stressed. So this is not the kind of advice that I want to hear, let alone give. But I can see that it is true.
