"Israel/Palestine and the U.S. after October 7," with Josh and Chris, March 21, 7pm, Brew Merchant
Chris DeBlaay (Bethany’s husband and my work partner) and I will be hosting a special Still Processing gathering on Thursday, March 21, 7pm, at the Brew Merchant in Holland, MI. For anyone who focuses on Israel/Palestine, the last five months have been intense, confusing, and sad. Chris and I were recently on a delegation to Israel/Palestine. We participated in order to show solidarity with our Palestinian and Israeli partners who continue to fight for peace and justice, and as always, to learn and to process. It was an intense week, spent mostly in the West Bank, with a couple of days in Jerusalem. It sparked a lot of reflection and emotion.
We are putting together a multimedia presentation that aims to give you expert analysis of this human tragedy. There are so many facets to this conflict: human rights, international law, global politics, national politics, religious extremism, generational shifts, ethics, morality, and more. And yes, we will also throw in some hope and some levity.
We will leave plenty of time and space for questions. As always, the values of Still Processing (humility, honesty, hospitality, and hope) will guide us. We hope to see you there.
Below is a podcast conversation on Israel/Palestine, Ukraine, and U.S. politics that I found insightful and helpful, even as I disagreed with the analysis here and there.

Great night last night, Josh. Clear, concise and honest. Thank you!
