Next gathering: "Why are (some) men floundering?" with Josh and Marlin, Jan 9, 7pm, Brew Merchant
Today is the last day in brutal year for humanity. I am grateful that my friends and family were able to help me through it. Israel/Palestine and Still Processing forced me to keep moving, keep wondering, keep struggling, keep hoping. But it has been a hard year. I survived more than I thrived. I’d like 2025 to be different.
Still Processing meets next Thursday, Jan 9, 7pm at the Brew Merchant. My dad and I will discuss the masculinity crisis. Though we are not experts on these matters, this issue seemed too important to ignore. Our goal is to bring you a solid introduction to the complex and controversial issue of the struggles of (some) men. Why are (some) men floundering? Race, gender, and class are all playing a role. I’ll want to return to the issue of masculinity a bit in February, when Micah McCreary will be our guest.
In the meantime, check out this conversation between Rich Roll and Scott Galloway. Rich and Scott seem like good people, acting in good faith. It’s really long, but Galloway is a helpful voice in this conversation on the masculinity crisis.
