SP and Kairos WMich present, "Politics and Religion in the Middle East," Tuesday, April 29, 7pm, Brew Merchant
Join Still Processing on Tuesday, April 29, at the Brew Merchant in Holland, as we host an event along with Kairos West Michigan. Happy Hour at 6 and the main event at 7.
The gathering is billed as follows: "Politics and Religion in the Middle East, with Lebanese religious scholar and interfaith historian Martin Accad and interfaith dialogue expert Justin Meyers, and hosted by political commentator and religious skeptic Joshua Vis. Martin, Justin, and Josh will discuss Israel’s war on Gaza and Lebanon (and Syria and Yemen and the West Bank). This will include some discussion of the dynamics of religion in the Middle East. Lastly, they will discuss their current thoughts and feelings about their religious commitments. Can religion play a positive role in a world falling apart?"
Then on Thursday, May 15, Joshua will host film producer, Latina advocate and writer Cynthia Martinez. This is a Still Processing gathering with Happy Hour at 6 and presentation at 7. We will meet at Post 393, 393 Cleveland Ave, Holland.
