I like how my dad described what we are conjuring up for this coming Thursday.
Wow! It's been kind of crazy these last couple of weeks -- an assassination attempt, a sitting president deciding not to run for reelection, and life stuff that both buffets and baffles us.
Josh and I are looking forward to August 1 and an opportunity for all of us together to take a breath and process what's happening around us and to us. We'll talk about the loss of influence by religions of every stripe. When did that start and why? If religion has lost the ability to influence people's lives, then what can and should? What and who influences us?
As always, Josh will have prepared a media presentation that makes us think and laugh. He's good at that. And we'll look at today's issues as well. Lastly, there will be ample time for Q and A.
Of course I hope you will come, because we are a family of sorts, a bunch of folks who are curious, cautious and concerned enough to want to be engaged in our world. Why? Because we actually believe that we can help make the world a better place.
