Dear Still Processing Friends:
My heart is heavy this morning. I expect many of you feel the same way. There are so many mass shootings now that each of us feel the fear of this kind of violence. And while the issue of treatment for minor trans children is complex, the way the Republican Party is mocking and scapegoating the trans community is shameful.
Josh and I are preparing diligently to be able to guide our SP community into discussion and then action around the most troubling issues around us today. But we also want to empower those who gather with the hopeful good news that we can love our enemies and we can stand up for the marginalized at the same time.
We are going to talk about Jesus in a way that will open new ways of seeing Jesus and responding to Jesus. It is our most important gathering to date.
I invite you to attend and come ready to listen and respond. It is this Thursday, May 4 at 7 pm in Brew Merchant's party room.
